We are thrilled to shine the spotlight on one of our exceptional STEAM Scholars, Virginia C. from West Winfield. Virginia has been an outstanding participant at our STEAM Leadership Conferences, joining us initially in 2023 and returning for 2024. We are excited to welcome her back once more for the 7th Annual STEAM Leadership Conference this summer.

Virginia’s Journey with STEAM

Virginia’s journey with the STEAM community has been nothing short of inspiring. Her eagerness to delve into complex topics such as climate change, artificial intelligence, and the intricacies of the human mind speaks volumes about her dedication and passion. As she expressed, “My main motivation for attending was the topics they were offering. I’m really interested in climate change and artificial intelligence and the human mind.”

Knowledge and Connections

Virginia’s participation in the conferences has not only enriched her knowledge but also fostered lasting relationships. She shared, “From both conferences, I gained valuable knowledge in those areas—and made lasting friendships.” The Creating Connections Fair was a pivotal moment for Virginia, providing her with networking opportunities that have already proved beneficial in her college journey.

A Future Educator in the Making

The 2023 STEAM Leadership Conference was a turning point for Virginia, as it solidified her aspiration to pursue a career in education. “It was so informative, and connecting with earth science educators and learning about their paths helped me realize that I wanted to be an educator like them,” Virginia noted. Her enthusiasm and commitment to education are truly inspiring, and we have no doubt she will make a significant impact in the field.

Volunteer Spirit

Virginia’s dedication extends beyond her own growth, as she has volunteered to support Project Fibonacci at the third annual STEAM Women Rising Symposium. Her willingness to give back to the community is a testament to her character and leadership.

We are honored to have Virginia as part of our STEAM family and look forward to seeing the incredible contributions she will continue to make. Keep shining, Virginia!
